Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

MainsCheck (the “Service”) is operated by Framebit Studios (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

MainsCheck is an AI tool that evaluates UPSC Mains practice answers and returns rubric-based feedback. The Service compares your submitted answer against a structured rubric and produces a score, written feedback, and suggested improvements to support your preparation.

3. Eligibility & accounts

Accounts are created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access or extract data from the Service.
• Abuse, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
• Submit unlawful, infringing, or otherwise harmful content.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying models of the Service.

5. Credits & payments

Each evaluation is metered in credits, where 1 credit = 1 evaluation (any paper, typed or handwritten). New accounts receive 5 free evaluations on signup plus 1 free typed evaluation per day. Additional credits can be purchased in INR via Razorpay, a third-party payment processor. Prices are determined and validated on our servers at the time of purchase. Purchased credits do not expire. We do not store your card details; Razorpay handles all payment data. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. AI-output disclaimer

The scores, feedback, and suggestions produced by the Service are generated by AI and are provided as guidance only. They are not official UPSC marks and are not produced or endorsed by the Union Public Service Commission. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI output, and we make no guarantee as to your examination results. Use the Service as one input among many in your preparation.

7. Intellectual property

The answers you submit remain yours. The Service, including its software, design, content, branding, and rubric, is owned by Framebit Studios and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.

8. Limitation of liability & “as is”

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Framebit Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunity, or examination outcome, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these terms or use the Service in a manner that is harmful, unlawful, or abusive. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
